Community Agreement
Debugging Human Communication welcomes everyone, regardless of background, identity, or experience level. By joining, you agree to these expectations.
Keep It Human
Share from real experience. AI can help you refine your thinking, but your ideas, language, and intention must lead. Content that feels automated, impersonal, or low-effort may be removed.
Be Kind & Real
Honest feedback and hard conversations are welcome here — cruelty is not. Say what you mean with care for the person hearing it. When you disagree, make an effort to understand before you respond.
Own Your Impact
Good intentions don't erase harm. If something you say or do lands badly, take responsibility. Accept feedback gracefully and commit to repairing when needed.
Make It Safe to Be Honest
We're all building this culture together. Openness and vulnerability only work when people feel safe enough to share. Protect that — for yourself and for everyone around you. When you show up to events, workshops, or coaching sessions, bring your full attention. Your presence shapes the room.
Share, Don't Sell
This is a learning space, not a marketplace. The line is intent: share to contribute, not to promote.
Not okay
- × Offering services, pitching availability, or "DM me for more info"
- × Driving people to sign up for your newsletter
- × Promoting your gated content, online store, or lead magnets
Encouraged
- ✓ Sharing full ideas, frameworks, or stories directly in your post
- ✓ Adding links that genuinely support a discussion or answer a question
- ✓ Sharing professional development opportunities like meetups, conferences, or job listings
In practice
× "I developed a 5-step onboarding framework. Sign up for my newsletter to get the full guide."
✓ "Here's the 5-step framework I use to onboard new members... [shares the full framework]"
Grounds for Removal
These behaviors undermine the safety and trust our community depends on. Any of the following may result in immediate removal, and Debugging Human Communication reserves the right to act at its discretion.
Violating people's safety, dignity, or boundaries
Harassment, personal attacks, discrimination, stereotyping, sexualization, sharing private information without permission, or causing, encouraging, or threatening harm. If someone asks you to stop, stop.
Misrepresenting yourself or others
Impersonating others, taking credit for someone else's work, sharing content primarily intended to drive traffic or revenue, or adding people to mailing lists without permission.
If you see something that crosses these lines, report it via the post's report button or message Andrea directly. Moderators will investigate promptly.
Scope
This agreement applies in all community spaces and when representing the community publicly.
