Master the Hidden Patterns of Human Communication
A 3-Hour Virtual Workshop for software professionals who want to communicate with impact, so they can get promoted, get buy-in, and get heard WITHOUT feeling like they have to become a different person!
What Will You Learn?
What you can expect to learn in 3 hours:
Communication Diagnostic: Pinpoint exactly where your communication system is breaking down — no more vague "I'm bad with people"
The Three Futures Framework: See the real cost of staying stuck so you can make an informed decision about what to work on next
System Mapping: See communication as a system with patterns and rules so you can debug it the same way you'd debug code
Your Custom Game Plan: Build a personalized roadmap across 9 communication milestones so you know exactly what to work on first
The Experimental Mindset: Treat interactions as tiny experiments instead of personal failings so you can improve without the emotional weight
Plus, I'll show you why refactoring is an act of compassion — and how that means you're already a better communicator than you think.
What You'll Do In This Workshop
Debugging Session: Diagnose Your Communication System
-
Identify the three futures (thriving, getting by, or stuck) so you can see where you actually are — not where you hope you are
-
Run a full diagnostic across 9 communication milestones so you can name the specific friction points holding you back
-
Build a custom game plan with a 3-month roadmap so you can stop guessing and start systematically improving
Date & Time TBD
3-hour virtual workshop
What This Is Not
Surface-level communication tips
Scripts or personality hacks
"Just be more confident" advice
Awkward role-playing
This is about understanding the structural code underneath human interaction — the patterns, rules, and logic that make conversations actually work.
So the next time a stakeholder pushes back, a 1:1 goes sideways, or you're replaying a conversation at 2am — you'll have a systematic way to figure out what happened and what to try next.
What Makes Our Event Different?
Systems-Based Approach
We treat communication like a system — with patterns, rules, and logic. No hype, no "just be more confident" advice. Actual frameworks you can learn and apply.
Built for Technical Minds
We create space for you to think deeply and connect with other technical professionals who get it. No code switching required.
Tools You'll Actually Use
You'll leave with diagnostic tools and frameworks you can reference long after the workshop is over.
Research-Backed, Field-Tested
Everything we teach is grounded in research and tested with real technical professionals — not recycled from a generic leadership seminar.
Your Host
Andrea Goulet is a communication coach who speaks fluent developer. She co-founded Corgibytes, a software company specializing in legacy code, where she spent over 15 years working alongside technical professionals. She noticed the same pattern over and over: brilliant, compassionate people who kept saying "I'm bad with people." They weren't bad with people — they just didn't have the right framework. So she built one. Andrea created Debugging Human Communication to give technical professionals a systematic, experiment-driven approach to communication — because if you can debug code, you can debug a conversation. She's helped engineers get promoted, secure budget during hiring freezes, and speak at conferences they never thought they'd attend.
What Others Are Saying
"When I shifted from engineer to entrepreneur, I was terrified. The thought of going to business events and pitching was a huge blocker. Andrea helped me figure out why, and it was the weirdest thing — my clothes.
I thought I had to wear polos, button down shirts, and khakis to be seen as "professional." But I hated wearing them. I'd always felt most comfortable and relaxed in my jeans, geeky graphic tee, and sneakers.
Andrea suggested I experiment with wearing what I liked but swinging by a thrift store before my next event to pick up a cheap sports coat to elevate my look. I was super skeptical, but game for giving it a try.
I had no idea how powerful that small change would be. My confidence soared and I started making sales, introducing myself to strangers, and speaking at conferences. All that from an $8 sports coat? That tiny experiment and tiny investment completely changed my career."
"Andrea understands communication the way I understand code: there are patterns, rules, structure. She sees what I can't see on my own, and helps me build a mental model for whatever I'm facing. What felt chaotic suddenly has structure. Before tactics, she helps me understand myself: what I value, where I stand. Then she gives me a concrete experiment, and the fast feedback loop helps me learn quickly."
"Andrea's coaching is effective because she helps me spot assumptions I didn't even know I had. She helps me design communication experiments that feel way too easy to have such a big impact."
"In my Discovery Session, Andrea immediately spotted a tiny detail in how I could frame my message and sent me peer-reviewed papers to back up her claims. When I tried the experiment, I easily persuaded my stakeholders to hire more people for my team — in a hiring freeze!"
"Attending my company's annual conference sounded like hell on earth for my introverted self. Instead, it was one of the most rewarding experiences of the last few months and probably a peak of my entire life in communication. Now that I've rested, all I feel is the joy and energy of connection — a weird sensation for an introvert!"
